refinished early 1940's antique american industrial four-legged riveted joint steel "war department" munition plant machine shop stool designed and fabricated by the angled steel company, plainwell and/or otsego, mich. the refinished "u.s. property" stool retains the original solid maple wood seat with sunken center. the riveted and welded joint base with stretchers provides added stability and durability. the circular-shaped seat has been lightly sanded and sealed. the brushed metal base has been treated with a clear coat lacquer. great overall condition. the riveted joint brass tag with identification number assigned by the war department is tightly affixed against the wood seat. measures 17 x 17 x 26 inches.
