c. 1900's original antique american stamped yellow brass metal exterior residential electric push button doorbell backplate with original baked black enameled inlay largely intact. the backplate contains two holes for mounting purposes, and a centrally located hole where the push button would be mounted. likely fabricated by the reading hardware co., reading, pa. the american art nouveau style plate remains in great overall condition, considering age. measures approximately 4 1/4 x 2 1/4 inches.
