thoroughly cleaned and refinished early 20th century american industrial stationary curtain rope or stage loft block pulley salvaged from an old northwestern indiana vaudeville theater. the heavily reinfroced and uniquely shaped pierced single sheave pulley rotates with ease. the two opposed extension plates are double-riveted to the flared ends. the brushed metal finish has been treated with a clear coat lacquer. the pulley was fabricated by u.e. & m. co., chicago, il. several pulleys were used high above the stage to control the movement of curtains and backdrops. measures 18 x 5 1/2 x 1 1/2 inches. only one available.
