c. 1900-20 american vintage industrial stationary four-legged draftsman stool possibly fabricated by the johnson chair co., milwaukee, wi. the base consists of four slightly flared oak wood posts reinforced on all sides with nicely worn stretchers, doubling as a heel or footrest. the solid steel threaded spindle is fastened tightly to the underside of the varnished "tiger stripe" oak wood seat with slightly sunken center. the refinished cast iron base provides a point of connection for each of the legs, in addition to engaging the threaded spindle as it rotates downwards or upwards. the old green paint finish was left untouched. seat height adjustable from around 25 to 29 inches.
