late 19th century salvaged chicago american antique industrial draftsman table salvaged from an chicago commerical building architect's office. the heavily reinforced cast iron three-legged stationary base features fanciful cabriole style legs. the heavy gauge iron sliding spindle or telescoping support member tilts and rotates to any desired angle or position. the fanciful faucet style cast iron handles are all original and intact. the weighted stationary tripod base retains the original or an early polychromed enameled finish. the oversized drafting or drawing board has been refinished. fabricated by the eugene dietzgen co., principal factory, chicago, il.
