original double-sided george grant elmslie-designed terra cotta cornice panel salvaged from the thomas a. edison high school during its demoition in the 1991. the oversized richly ornamented terra cotta block with reddish-orange slip glaze was executed by fritz albert for the midland terra cotta company, chicago, ills. the school was completed in 1936-37 and demolished in 1991. only one available. the ornament from the schools elmslie designed in northwestern indiana would be his last set of commissions.
