four matching c. 1880's interior residential ornamental stamped steel "windsor" pattern doorknob backplates. fabricated by the reading hardware company, reading, pa. the antique american backplates have a brushed metal finish. the wrought steel collars or thimbles remain intact. each plate contains a single keyhole and two small screw holes for mounting flush against the door. measure approximately 5 1/2 x 1 1/2 inches. priced for the lot.
