all original early 1920's vintage medical dental office multi-drawer enameled wood freestanding cabinet likely designed by harry c. gowran for the hamilton mfg. co., two rivers, wi. the oversized medical cabinet retains the original removable white opalescent glass "vitrolite" tabletop, free from cracks, breaks, etc. the drawer pulls are original and are comprised of pressed "jet black" faceted glass. the baseboard consists of white vitrolite segmented panels fastened tightly against the underside of the trimwork. remarkably, the original white enameled finish remains largely intact, with some surface wear and light crazing consistent with age. the larger cabinet drawers are reinforced with folded tin liners. salvaged from an old downtown chicago dental office. measures 43 1/2 x 16 1/2 x 44 3/4 inches.
