all original and highly sought after interior chicago bank building office early electric wall sconce designed and fabricated by the faries mfg. co., decatur, il. the wall-mount single electric light fixture contains a bent tubular brass arm with tapered canopy containing lightly incised grooves surrounding the ring and set screw. the matching paddle socket and patented shade fitter with diminutive set screws are original to the fixture. the visually distinctive blue opalescent "bullseye" textured glass shade with ruffled bottom was fabricated by the phoenix glass company, pittsburgh, pa. the original highly desirable oxidized copper-plated finish over brass remains in great condition, considering age. measures 13 x 6 x 8 inches.
