original hard to find and highly sought after early 20th century ornamental cast bronze "three feathered indian" doorknob likely used in a commercial building or hotel (possibly clinton j. warren's non-extant lakota hotel). the figural doorknob features a highly detailed bust of a native american in costume surrounding by graduating circles. the doorknob was fabricated by the sargent hardware co., new haven, ct. the original yellow brass "wash" or plating remains largely intact.
