original c. 1882-5 american antique leaded art glass transom window salvaged from a chicago victorian cottage undergoing demolition. the square-shaped diminutive window features a centrally located floral motif surrounded by sun rays alternating in color. the amber colored diamond-shaped rondel remains intact. the stained glass consists primarily of cathedral hammered glass. some damage evident along the edges. the original wood sash frame remains largely intact. weathered and worn paint found on both sides. possibly fabricated by the wells glass company, chicago, il. measures approximately 21 x 18 inches.
