well-built c. 1920's american industrial mobile factory office stenographer's typewriter stand designed and fabricated by the adjustable table company, grand rapids, mich. the three-legged base is supported by newer swivel type casters with hardened black rubber wheels with steel forks. the slightly tapered and fluted pedestal stand retains the original faucet used to lock the telescoping threaded steel rod or spindle in its desired position and/or height. the top portion of the screw spindle contains a base plate with four holes for mounting against the underside of a tabletop. the brushed metal finish has been sealed with a clear coat lacquer. this particular stand includes a newly added square-shaped tabletop comprised of cherry wood with recessed apron. excellent overall condition. three matching stands available. the base measures approximately 19 x 19 inches with an adjustable height ranging from 26 - 39 inches.
