original c. 1920's american single-sided "bookkeeper" bank building die cut yellow brass backplate manufactured by the heath-johnson company, chicago, il. the backplate contains lightly incised lettering with the original baked black enameled finish intact. the brass metal plate contains four pre-drilled holes four mounting purposes. salvaged from a chicago bank building. measures 10 x 2 1/2 inches.
