intact late 1940's vintage american industrial telescoping "adjustrite" pressed and folded steel factory assembly line stool with a circular steel swivel seat. the stool features two relatively movable members combined or overlapping for telescopic movement, with one of the members secured to the seat of the stool and other member secured to the legs and/or base of the stool. the coacting movable members function in such a way to lock the seat at various selected positions. the bent tubular steel legs are structurally sound and stable. bare metal seat with metallic black enameled base and post. natural wear and tear evident. fabricated by the adjusto equipment co., bowling green, oh. the first incarnation was designed and patented by james a campbell in the early 1940's. seat height measures 26 inches.
