original american vintage mid-century modern solid walnut table designed by adrian pearsall for craft associates. the low-lying table retains the original varnished finish. the well-maintained side table is sometimes referred as the "stingray" table. adrian pearsall founded craft associates in 1952, producing wrought iron designs, selling to department stores such as macy's and wanamakers. craft associates began the production of their walnut furniture in the late 1950's, which was received with great success, making the company a leader in residential furniture during this time period. the company later sold to the lane company in alta vista, va. in 1969. signed (incised mark) on the bottom side of the table. measures 28 x 20 x 19 inches.
