original late 19th century antique american monogrammed office door passage size doorknob salvaged from a downtown chicago commercial building prior to demolition. the highly stylized initials are surrounded by concentric rings and beaded border. the doorknob is comprised of solid brass metal with original baked black enameled inlay. likely fabricated by the p & f. corbin co., new britain, ct. measures approximately 2 1/2 inches in diameter.
