original c. 1890's antique american victorian era residential parlor hall tree coat and/or hat hook possibly fabricated by the yale & towne mfg. co., stamford, ct. the ornamental cast iron triple-hook features a sinister figural grotesque profile with protruding tongue. the highly decorative flush mount hook contains a brushed metal finish treated with a clear coat lacquer.
