exceptional late 19th century hand carved oak wood victorian era residential pier mirror or hall tree salvaged from a chicago graystone residence built around 1895. contains a protruding bench supported by highly stylized brackets with decorative incising. the fanciful bench arms feature elaborate carving. the arched beveled edge mirror is original and intact. the ornamental cast brass hall tree hooks have a nicely aged patina. the crown or header features a repeating bead and reel design motif. the pier mirror measures 84 x 43 1/4 x 17 inches.
