intact late 1930's original single-sided american industrial porcelain enameled die cut steel "watch your step" wall mount cautionary sign. the durable exterior or interior sign was salvaged from michael reese hospital. the "veribrite" signed sign was fabricated by the general porcelain enameling & manufacturing co., once located in chicago, il. the pressed steel mounting hole grommets are intact. the black with white letter porcelain finish is free from damage. measures 21 by 3 1/4 inches.
