group of six matching c. 1885-90 original ornamental cast brass "broken leaf" pattern interior residential doorknob backplates. each passage door escutcheon contains a single skeleton keyhole, two screw holes (for mounting against a passage door) and tightly affixed wrought bras thimble or collar. manufactured by the lockwood manufacturing co., south norwalk, conn. very popular eastlake style pattern. black enameled inlay remains somewhat intact. measure approximately 5 1/2 x 1 1/2 inches. priced for the lot.
