original american vintage industrial "champion" factory office stationary draftsman table. the cast iron components and woodwork have been carefully refinished. contains an oversized pine wood drawing board with dovetailed oak wood edges. the base is comprised of fanciful cast iron legs with solid maple wood supporting vertical and horizontal slats. rack and pinion, faucet style handles and other mechanical linkages all intact and in working condition. manufactured by the hamilton cabinet co., two rivers, wi. original manufacturer label (located on the horizontal slat or stretcher) left intact. surface wear from decades of use and abuse provides charming visual character. recently salvaged from an old sign making factory located in chicago. top measures 72 x 42 inches.
