two original late 19th century decorative copper-plated cast iron interior residential doorknob backplates designed and fabricated by the russell & erwin mfg. co., new britain, ct. the matching "brunswick" pattern doorknob backplates are unusually long and narrow, with original wrought brass thimbles and single keyholes. the rococo style backplates were salvaged from a milwaukee foursquare residence built around the turn of the century. priced for the pair. 9" x 2-1/4".
