matching set of original late 19th century ornamental wrought and/or stamped bronze "eulalia" (later known as "americus") pattern doorknob backplates or escutcheons manufactured by the reading hardware co., reading, pa. very popular pattern from 1895-1910. the single keyhole backplates were salvaged from a chicago residence built around 1898. wrought yellow brass collars or thimbles remain intact. backplates measure 7 3/8 x 2 1/2 inches. priced for the pair.
