two matching original late 19th century antique american victorian era varnished oak wood interior residential "room divider" columns salvaged from a chicago graystone residence built around 1895. the lock stave oak wood columns retain the original ornamental neoclassical style capitals replete with gesso applique in the form of curvaceous volutes, bellflowers, anthemions and egg & dark trim. the slightly tapered and round columns are mounted on oak wood plinth blocks. fabricated by the decorators supply co., chicago, il. hand-written part number and label found on each of the capitals. measure 9 x 9 x 72 1/2. priced for the pair.
