pair of original late 1920's spanish revival style ornamental cast iron fireplace andirons salvaged from a chicago bungalow residence. the highly unique andirons contain detachable roundels featuring barque sailing vessels with three distinct masts, surrounded by two graduating concentric rings interconnected at multiple points. the tapered and turned pedestals are supported by two opposed legs. embossed floral elements are highlighted in green and red paint. the antique gold paint finish, highlighted with black inlay is original and intact. the two andirons were fabricated by the universal electric log co., chicago, il. priced for the pair.
