two matching american black enameled ornamental cast iron floor grates salvaged from an east chicago, indiana residence undergoing demolition. the grates were likely fabricated between 1910-20. the exact manufacturer is not known. the original frames or surrounds that held the grilles flush against the floor were badly damaged and/or missing altogether. very unusual maze-like design motif. measures 10 x 19 inches. priced for the pair.
