Illinois, USA - Eric Nordstrom sent through an email last week about a sale he was having on the Urban Remains website. He also sent a photo of some of his personal collection of architectural antiques. Eric said 'I am a collector at heart. I have to apologise to visitors for all the 'reference only' listings on my website. I list these items from my personal collection just to pass on information. It's especially good if a customer has something similar and can add additional information about it. It's fascinating to read customers updates on items I have posted.'

'We have a number of salvages coming down the pipeline. We just completed the Chicago Athletic Club and a Highand Park mansion.'

'The artifacts rescued and the photographs I capture will always be posted in the blog (the former will be found at the top of each category). I am very appreciative of those who continue to visit the website and explore the ever-growing inventory I work hard to post daily. I spend a great deal of my day and night updating the photographs and descriptions, so it pleases me immensely when I hear positive feedback about the depth of my narratives and the excitement expressed over artefacts purchased. It is lovely to hear from customers how it will change their decor. It really does matters deeply to me... '

One of the 'reference only' items on Urban Remains website, with a 300 word description. Owner, Eric Nordstrom likes it when customer comment with additional details.

One item on the Urban Remains website that is listed for reference only, includes a 300 hundred word description. The item is assiduously titled 'historically important c. 1891-92 original amrican ornamental cast iron mecca apartment interior atrium balcony railing baluster panel - willoughby j. edbrooke & franklin p. burnham, architects'. Such attention to detail can only mean a greater number of visitors to the website and ultimately more sales.

Eric is generous in advice and extremely passionate about the history of all the items on sale. 'If you ever feel the need to contact me personally over an item you purchased and want to know more about it, please feel free to reach out! I will try my best to respond in a timely manner.'

'As long as my body can handle it, I will continue to salvage buildings slated for demolition in order to document the history - both in photograph and artifact before it is quickly forgotten.'
