limited edition bldg. 51 museum artifact collection catalog available for sale in spring

the highly anticipated bldg. 51 museum artifact catalog will be available for sale - both online and in stores by late spring. the limited edition (print quantity of 500) catalog is divided into three major sections, consisting of artifacts from notable building commissions by architect frank lloyd wright, louis h. sullivan, and chicago area buildings chosen both on artistic merit and historical significance.

the last category will contain artifacts from a variety of sub-collections, including, but not limited to, historic buildings outside of illinois, trade signs, new york city subway signs and lighting, early factory signage, antiquated electrical devices and folk art.

the bldg. 51 museum catalog will serve as a nice supplement to the soon to be published urban remains hardbound book that revolves around a carefully chosen selection of imagery taken from eric j nordstrom's vast collection of photographs that meticulously capture the last days of a historic building's existence before succumbing to the wrecking ball. the great majority of artifacts derived from the catalog's chicago buildings section were rescued from several of the non-extant buildings found in the coffee style book due out in early 2015.

the bldg. 51 museum artifact catalog will be a soft cover, perfect bound standard a4 sized book with 112 number one offset gloss text pages in full color with high resolution images.
