a retrospective of demolitions, salvages, excavations and, museum acquisitions in 2015

with 500 blog posts written this year alone, i have carefully assembled just under 200 posts that truly represent what stokes the fire or fuels my passion to document, salvage and be a caretaker. wearing multiple hats can be very overwhelming, and there have been times i collapsed from utter exhaustion.

whether i move forward at this pace remains to be seen. considering the amount of time, effort and money i've poured into these endeavors, i know i will need to take more time to step outside my head and, in going forward, not be ashamed to ask for assistance on things i just don't have time to handle. often i find myself packing equipment for the next demolition when i've just fooled myself into thinking i could sit down and do badly needed research. in the year ahead i hope to recalibrate my efforts and find time to enrich any unfinished narratives.
