part one: documenting richard haas's 1980 "homage to the chicago school" mural executed by jeff greene and evergreen outdoor advertising

detailed images of american muralist richard haas's "homage to the chicago school," located at 1211 north lasalle, chicago, ills. the mural draws from the chicago board of trade, chicago tribune competition, sullivan banks, adler and sullivan's transportation building, chicago stock exchange, etc. four portraits are located on the south wall, beginning with frank lloyd wright, john wellborn root, daniel h. burnham, and louis h. sullivan.

the sign was executed by evergreen outdoor advertising and jeff greene and five other new york city artists. the imported keim paint was chosen for it's durability, lasting 50-75 years. overall height of the three-sided mural is 165 feet upon completion.
