assortment of vintage american industrial depression era solid steel spur gears salvaged from an old tool & die factory located on the south side of chicago. the simple, yet elegantly designed gears consist of a cylinder or disk with teeth projecting radially. the edges of the teeth are straight and aligned parallel to the axis of rotation. this type of simple gear can only be meshed together id they are fitted to parallel shafts. nicely worn and weathered surface patina from years of use and abuse. vary slightly in size and configuration. priced for the lot.
