hard to find "basketweave" pattern ornamental cast bronze drum-shaped doorknob and matching backplate designed and fabricated by the hopkins and dickenson company, new york city, ny. the entrance door backplate retains the original swinging keyhole cover. the nicely aged surface patina is uniform throughout. the 1880's salvaged chicago hardware was removed from a chicago mansion during its demoliton. two knobs and backplates available, priced for knob and a matching backplate.
