refinished late 19th century salvaged chicago ornamental cast iron exterior residential freestanding newel post fabricated by the reder foundry company, chicago, ills. the brushed metal newel with pyramidal-shaped top has been selaed with a clear coat lacquer. two matching newel posts were salvaged from a chicago residence undergoing demolition. newels are priced indivdually.
