c. 1880's original and intact american eastlake style ornamental cast brass exterior residential doorknob backplate designed and fabricated by the p. & f. corbin co., new britain, ct. the oversized entrance door backplate contains a single protruding wrought brass collar, along with two skeleton keyholes. a uniform oil-rubbed bronze metallic finish was added to accentuate the lightly incised detail. measures approximately 7 1/4 x 1 3/4 inches.
