fully functional late 19th century original american medical oversized ornamental cast iron swivel bracket designed and fabricated by or for the fuller & fuller co., chicago, il. the heavy duty cast iron bracket with hook was originally used to support glass show globes filled with brightly colored water. the show globes were often found in the display windows of drugstores across america. the bracket retains the original wall-mount bracket with single steel rod pin containing acorn finials. the original brass-plated finish is partially intact. the perforated swinging arm with hook contain foliated scrollwork. great overall condition, considering age. arm length 15 1/4 inches. base plate measures 6 1/2 inches x 2 1/2 inches.
