rare mid-nineteenth century vibrant antique american teal blue porter bottle manufactured for robinson, wilson & legalee in boston, ma. the low pronounced shoulders are finished with an applied neck and double tapered collar with significant slop and whittling. side seams are visible running from base to the bottom of the neck. the bottle features a clean strike in the form of pristine embossing on the front body that reads "robinson, wilson & legalee/ 102 sudbury st. / boston" with a raised end-letter 't' in the abbreviated 'street'. the base has a deep kickup with heavy residue from the iron pontil. crudities typical of its age and date of manufacture include bubbles, allover whittling, and asymmetry in the finish. the bottle has been cleaned (i.e. tumbled) and so appears clean and free of irridization or haze.
