original c. 1930's vintage medical wash basin with original white enameled finish largely intact. fabricated by the w.d. allison mfg. co., indianapolis, ind. salvaged from an old south side chicago hospital building (now defunct). the upright stand contains a removable bowl, comprised of cold-rolled steel with original white porcelain enameled finish intact. the four-legged base is comprised of cast iron with original hardened black rubber swivel casters. the central pole supporting the wrought steel brackets with welded joint ring is not adjustable (in height). measures 31 1/2 inches in height. the diameter of the bowl is 13 inches.
