original and intact piece of indiana history. the lasalle hotel is an historic building that's played a big part in south bends past. the building sits in one of the citys most high-profile spots, at the corner of michigan and lasalle streets downtown. the buildins near the morris performing arts center and has been designated historic because of its faade. the hotel lasalle closed in 1973, and the building has been vacant since the late 1990s. the key is original to the building, but the fob itself was made at a later date--possibly the 1950's or 1960's.
