two matching original 19th century american eastlake style interior residential shutter door hinges designed and fabricated by branford lock works, branford, ct. the "oriental" pattern ornamental cast brass hinges were salvaged from the extant david c. cook mansion (built in 1884-5) located in elgin, il. the two fully functional hinges were used throughout the second floor of the residence. traces of the original black enameled inlay remains intact. measure 1 1/4 x 2 inches. priced for the pair.
