freestanding c. 1890's antique american ornamental cast iron exterior residential staircase newel post designed and fabricated by the dearborn foundry co., chicago, il. the shapely stair landing newel post is accentuated with simple "bullseye" rosettes and a large ball top finial. the black enameled finish over iron is mostly uniform throughout. there are two matching newel posts available. salvaged from a chicago graystone residence constructed around 1897. priced individually. measures approximately 40 inches high.
