early 20th century original antique american "oakdale" pattern interior residential doorknob designed and fabricated by the lockwood mfg. co., south norwalk, ct. the passage size doorknob is comprised of wrought steel with brushed metal finish. the banded rim doorknob features embossed leafage surrounding a button center with beaded border. dates to around 1914. darkened with a oil-rubbed bronze metallic finish. measures approximately 2 1/4 inches in diameter.
