fanciful early 1930's american vintage industrial single-sided "no admittance" boiler room door sign salvaged from an old chicago public school. the die cut yellow brass flush mount sign was likely fabricated by the leslie sign co., chicago, il. the thin metal sign contains a baked black enameled inlay used to accentuate the slightly raised lettering. two opposed screw holes for mounting purposes. nicely aged and mostly uniform surface patina. measures 10 x 2 1/2 inches.
