all original and completely intact early 1880's unusually designed ornamental "bullseye" terra cotta block removed from the former mellos candy peanut factory building, located at 727 west lake street. the commercial loft building was likely built between 1881-1883. the mellos peanut candy factory resided there since 1946 before it was demolished in 2013. the early terra cotta block was likely fabricated by the northwestern terra cotta company, chicago, ills. several pallets worth of frieze panels cornice blocks, and egg & dart trim were purchased from the wrecker by urban remains late late year (2016). the architect and other information pertaining to the building's history prior to 1946 is ongoing. asking price reflects a single block. several matching blocks available.
