oversized c. 1900's single-sided original and intact ornamental copper-plated cast iron "paying teller" sign or plaque originally mounted against a chicago bank building teller cage. the long and narrow sign with bow tie ends, was fabricated by the w.s. tyler company, cleveland, oh. the teller sign contains deeply raised lettering against an unadorned recessed region with copper plating. two opposed screw holes are for mounting purposes. measures approximately 17 x 2 inches.
