one of several finely crafted all original c. 1900's interior residential freestanding white glazed vitreous porcelain or china lavatory pedestal sinks designed and fabricated by the crane company, chicago, ills. the impressive oversized sink features a detachable elongated oval-shaped bowl with surrounding ornamented apron or skirt. the cross-arm porcelain hot and cold handles with escutcheons or rosettes are original to the sink. the nickel plated cast brass offset trap with vent and outlet to wall remains intact. a variation of this remarkable antique american pedestal sink was offered in wolff's 1908 general catalog. the solid porcelain bathroom sink was salvaged from an oak park residence. great overall condition. Item measures 29"w x 20"d.
