completely intact vintage industrial "white" articulating arm factory task lamp featuring a combination of tubes and joints corresponding closely to those in the human arm. the factory task lamp may be shifted into any desired position and held there adjustably. the task lamp contains two fully functional sectional ball and socket "knuckle" joints with original "faucet" style handles intact. original hard to find adjustable c-lamp with threaded screw and wing nut remains in excellent working condition. the bell-shaped wrought steel reflector or shade contains a threaded opening for easy attachment to the yellow brass key socket made by the general electric company. the on/off paddle switch is made of black bakelite. the thoroughly refinished lamp was fabricated by the o.c. white co., worcester, mass. rewired with period appropriate braided black rayon cloth cord. the tubular steel arms are original to the fixture. salvaged from an old boiler works factory in chicago.
