largely intact late 1930's american industrial reinforced die cut steel single-sided "no smoking" informational sign likely fabricated by the mine safety appliance co., pittsburgh, pa. the bright cherry red enameled wall-mount antique industrial sign was salvaged from a chicago general electric factory undergoing demolition. the original pressed steel mounting hole grommets remain intact. surface wear evident. measures 20 x 14 inches.
