two original "matching" antique american victorian era majolica glazed interior residential fireplace tiles designed and fabricated by the trent tile company, trenton, nj. the two figural tiles are deeply embossed with costumed female portraits holding birds in their hands. the richly colored tiles were salvaged from a chicago two-flat built around 1897. brick and/or mortar have been carefully removed from the backs of the tiles. priced for the pair.
