c. 1930's original american depression era primitive hand-painted "strictly cash " wood automotive service station hanging sign. the exact fabricator or maker is not known. the oversized rectangular-shaped sign is comprised of cheap wood with large red lettering against an off-white background. surface wear consistent with age. salvaged from an old gas station on the south side of chicago.
