original matching late 19th century interior residential ornamental cast iron door hinges designed and fabricated by the p. & f. corbin co., new britain, ct. the two loose pin door hinges contains unornamented ball finials. each leaf is divided into three segments with a centrally located flower flanked by leafage. the knuckles are in good condition with very little wear evident. the two hinges have been brushed down to bare metal and sealed with a clear coat lacquer. traces of the original oxidized copper-plated finish remains partially intact from one hinge to the other. several pair available. salvaged from a chicago graystone residence constructed in the late 1890's. two sizes exist, with the smaller-sized hinges used primarily on the passage and closet doors. priced for the pair. refinished on both sides. measures approximately 4 1/2 x 4 1/2 inches.
